Between February 12, 2007 and February 19, 2007, Dan Jones & Associates conducted a public survey of 403 people who live in Salt Lake County. This survey was conducted to reveal:
1. Familiarity with Salt Lake County watershed issues. 2. Priorities regarding different watershed attributes. 3. Opinions about various actions that affect watershed integrity. 4. Land use priorities. 5. Knowledge about the location and water quality of creeks. 6. Attitudes about possible regulatory actions that may affect the watershed. 7. Views about Salt Lake County's efforts to protect the watershed. 8. Preferences for which funding methods ought to be used for watershed preservation. 9. The frequency and types of outdoor recreational use by county residents. 10. The importance of outdoor recreation in determining quality of life. 11. Sources of information about water quality and environmental issues.
